Used Car Specialists, Carmart Perth Moves To East Vic Park A Family Business With Heart

EAST VICTORIA PARK, WA – Carmart Perth isn’t your typical dealership. It’s a story about mates, family, and a whole community pitching in.

After years in Bedford, the team has shifted into a new home on Albany Highway, with more room for STOCK and customers. We are now right in the heart of East Victoria Park.

At the centre are John and Maurice — “brothers from another mother.” Around them, the Carmart crew is a true family affair.

Maurice Junior and Maurice Junior II are on deck. Grandfather Maurice (Snr) still keeps a watchful eye. John’s dad drops by regularly to look after the vegetable patch, while John’s mum and sister lend a hand. Nephews and nieces also have their own jobs around the dealership, and even Maurice’s ex-wife works there.

At Carmart Perth, “family-owned” isn’t just a slogan — it’s the way the place runs.

“When people say we’re family-owned, they don’t realise how literally we mean it,” Maurice jokes. “Our dads are around, John’s family is around, even my ex-wife works here. It’s all of us pulling together.”

🚗 A Bigger Stage

The move from quieter Bedford to the buzz of East Victoria Park is more than a change of postcode. It’s about stepping up.

The new location puts Carmart Perth alongside some of WA’s best-known dealerships, including John Hughes — one of Maurice’s biggest inspirations.

“This is our chance to show people what we stand for,” says John. “We believe Perth families deserve mates-rates, fair deals, and finance options that other places won’t touch. That’s why we’re here.”
